Sequence II, called Al Saha Al Kabira, extends from the Hassan II bridge till ONCF bridge. It provides the connection between Rabat and Sale, and between the historic monuments of the estuary (Oudayas Kasbah, medinas of Rabat and Salé) on one hand, and those of the actual valley (Tour Hassan, Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Chellah ), on the other hand.
Al Saha Al Kabira is a remarkable landscape, well connected by road networks, and striking views of both the silhouettes of Rabat and Salé on the estuary and plain. This sequence is also distinguished by the fact that the majority of the land is public property or field of Endowments. Considering its central position between the right bank and left bank of the Bouregreg, and its role as a transition between the estuary and the plain of Oulja, it will be the main joint project.
Covering a total area of 112 ha and offering a variety of residential units, offices, luxury hotels, shopping areas and city parks, Sequence II is considered a privileged area since it will house including the Grand Theatre in Rabat, drawn by the prestigious firm Zaha Hadid Architects. This futuristic building will cover an area of 27,000 m² and will feature various performance spaces to large acoustic and visual qualities.
