OFFICIAL LAUNCHING OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF GRAND THEATER IN RABAT

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Preserves, gave on October 7, 2014 the official start of construction of the Grand Theatre in Rabat.

The completion of this work has been entrusted to the Agency of Bouregreg, which is a part of the policy of equipment in cultural infrastructure across the country. It reflects the Royal desire of giving Rabat a theater that will raise it to the rank of major cities of the Mediterranean.

Covering an area of ​​25,500 m², the Grand Theatre in Rabat enjoys an outstanding location that combines prestigious history and stunning countryside. The wall of Salé Bab M’rissa one side, the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Hassan Tower and the Mohammed V mausoleum of the other many monuments lining the new theater, and bear witness to the glorious past of twin cities Rabat and Salé.
