The company of tramway Rabat Salébegins an important phase of the project with the technical tests of the tram.

This step allows verifying the efficiency of trailers and tramway equipment including, among others,power, railway signaling, information systems… and, throughout 20 km of the tramway network.

To prepare this important phase, the overhead lines of contact, located on the test section were energized.

With the arrival of the 6th trailer scheduled for 1 September 2010, the reception of this equipment intensified.It is recalled that the first train arrived on March 17, 2010 and the other 16 will arrive gradually until the lunching of travels.

Characterized by a design specially designed for the population density of Rabat Salé, the type Citadis train manufactured by Alstom, offers all the advantages of a modern tramway, in accordance with international standards.The tramway Rabat Salé has a length of 65 m consists of 2 elements, a height of 3 m and a width of 2, 65 m. Quiet and air-conditioned, this tool of transport will allow to the users to move quickly with q maximum of comfort. And With its low-floor, people with special needs will have access to rowing with ease and fluency.

The trailers will reach the various test area in order to execute the first technical tests.

With the progress of work and the delivery of other trains, the test areas will be extended to the entire network Tramway Rabat Salé until lunching of travels.
